I think it's a great idea, and I love the textures. You sound really inspired - go for it! Is your trip home before or after you have to finish it? Maybe you could photograph some genuine NZ textures!
Now that's an even better idea. Perhaps I can also check out The Parental Units' photo albums and see if they have any old photos I can scan or photograph.
(Hmmm... does that mean I can claim my trip back to New Zealand?)
