That'll be right. I generally find my creative hour is 3 in the morning. The trouble is actually getting out of bed to doodle my notes. I usually end up going back to sleep then wondering the next morning what it was that I was thinking.
It's so nice to know I'm not the only one with a disobedient brain. I keep a sketchbook and pencil beside my bed. I think my brain would be rather happy if I added coloured pencils as you have.
Well done you, it looks comfy and inspired! I get up lately in the middle of the night and clean bathrooms(it helps me with anxiety attacks or with some weird hormones...)I like your middle of the night activities more!!! Enjoy, Annamaria :)
I have my sketch pad, note pad, pencils and PDA next to my bed everynight because those pesky thoughts can keep me awake until the wee hours if I dont get them out of my head.
I recognize the problem. I think it's something about the place where you are when you are drifting off to sleep. A place where you let walls go down and creativity flows. Sometimes I wake up with an idea and then I can't get back to sleep until I did something with it. It's weird how that works :-)
i get you completely. so much better to jot it down and get back to snoozing. that way the idea is captured and you don't waste half the day trying to recall that creative gold. lovely picture too
It looks soooo comfy...But I understand your troubles :P...I really need to get me a set up like that to jot down my ideas...
ReplyDeleteThat's so fabulous! I wish I had the room to do that :) K
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a very cozy creative space!

ReplyDeleteGood on you for going with it. I'm too lazy.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I can relate, but I also find that ideas start whirling around just as I'm trying to drift off to sleep - so frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI admire your dedication - lovely pic!

ReplyDeleteYes ~ fabulous that you do something about it! I start thinking about things but can't be bothered leaving my cosy bed!
ReplyDeleteI did used to wake up in the middle of the night & jot down notes but my "rig" never looked that pretty.

I guess you have to pick your battles and fighting against your brain bursting with ideas at any time would be futile!
ReplyDeleteI can so relate. I am writing a book at the moment and my best ideas always strike when I am in my bed!
