The Room of Shame is no more, thanks to the attentions of four fine friends who descended on me this afternoon and bossed me round wrought their magic.(Not only on this room but the rest of the house*. Plus they brought nibbles and bubbles for afternoon tea. I'm very lucky to have such supportive friends. Thanks guys!)
Nibbs didn't quite know what to make of it all...
(*Apart from a few things dumped into my workroom that I need to find places to hide. Including 5 cartons of fabric. I think I'll go with the boot of the car option for those.)
wowsers - that is really impressive, and looks ready fort he descending of the Collectors crew. Well done TSS and friends
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, that looks terrific. Hope the filming goes well!
ReplyDeleteFantastic stuff! Good friends, alright!
ReplyDeleteWell done, the room looks fabulous! So fun to see so many of your houses at once! Good luck with the filming!
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is a workroom! Congrats : )
ReplyDeleteLooks good - and all those houses, I'm sure Collectors will be gobsmacked!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant workspace! Good friends are great treasures :-)
ReplyDeleteIts great seeing your houses in one go!
That's not all of them, actually. There are two more in the hall and the Kaleidoscope House, which lives in pride of place behind the sofa in the lounge. Plus I finally gave up on the Tomy and it is being dismantled and packed back into the box it arrived in...
ReplyDeleteI finally managed to get a look at The Collectors DVD I borrowed from the Library: it won't play on my laptop but will (in fits and starts) on the player in the staffroom at work.
OMG! What have you lot talked me into doing?!
I'm sorry to hear the Tomy won't be filmed - what happened with it?
ReplyDeleteWe've just talked you into appearing on national television on a very popular show which has not had dolls houses before, with presenters who will ask intelligent questions! That's all. I reckon Adrian and Niccole will be most interested - a bit too late for Gordon, I would think. Let us know how the filming goes!
The Tomy is in pieces on my office floor, waiting for me to fetch the box from the garage. It was tricky enough to find room for three extra houses I actually like without trying to shoehorn the Tomy (which I don't like but which is, I believe, a necessary part of the collection)
ReplyDeleteI'm contemplating having the box on display though. Even if it's "on display" in the cupboard (like my Urwin set)
Great idea, especially for the Irwin set, which is terrific, and for the Tomy box too. (And maybe the bathroom furniture? which I especially like ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great time!!!
