The first morning where I find myself slipping on wristwarmers at the computer. Soon I'll be pulling the heaters out from under the stairs. Deciding that doing the dishes (hands in warm water!) and the ironing (lots of warm steamy stuff!) are wonderful things to do in the morning.
But first I have to make it though that difficult Canberra period of freezing mornings, quite pleasant days, followed by freezing evenings. And trying to dress for said days without dying of either hypothermia or heat stress along the way...
Yes I always found it difficult to dress at this time of year when I used to live in Canberra. And when it does get colder it is tricky to dress for outdoors and then the completely overheated public indoor areas. I would have to lug loads of jackets, scarves and hats while I tried to juggle all my shopping.
ReplyDeleteOooo... I forgot to ask... is tonight the big night of your t.v. appearence???
ReplyDeleteDifficult? This is the BEST time. You just need a good jacket. I find it much harder in the depth of winter, because everyone's indoors are so warm that it's hard to dress for both. At least now you can dress normally and add a wee bit of jumpery.
ReplyDeleteHey, just saw your feature on The Collectors! Great job, but did you explain why that house was part of the holy grail? Enquiring minds want to know!
ReplyDeleteI've got the show on my hard drive if you want to see it :)
Just saw you on the telly. Lovely stuff.
ReplyDeleteVery informative and entertaining segment which allowed the sense of the houses as architectural containers for the interiors to come to the fore. Couldn't help thinking when the keyring collector was on how much fun the keys to your houses would be. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI think you were the epitome of reasoned passion. What overacting? Or did they cut that bit. Be honest now.
ReplyDelete(Congratulations on the segment. See you tomorrow.)
