Secret Little Gem has photos of Carolina Kecskemethy's Miniature furniture at the Museum of Things in Berlin:
I just want to play Name that Chair Maker. (Closely followed by Spot the Chairs You Own, then Spot the Chairs you Wished You Owned) I'm drooling....
Agree.
ReplyDeleteI am glad people with lots of stuff understand their duty to publicly display it so the rest of us with slightly less can feel practically virtuous.
Argh! I was standing in front of the museum in February when I visited my sister in Berlin - and IT WAS SHUT!! I will definitely go next time I'm there - I didn't know they had such a huge collection of dolls' house furniture.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this info of such treasure_ I'll definately go there like Anina ( we might meet (-:)
ReplyDeleteNeomi
Sorry to disappoint you, but I think the exhibition is now closed (at least, the exhibition page on the website has disappeared)
ReplyDeletePerhaps Carolina will now be sick of her collection and sell it all off to us? ;-)
What an incredible collection. So kind of her to share with the world. I hope she finds somewhere else to showcase it, although ebay would be fabulous. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteRegulary I visit Berlin,
ReplyDeletebut unhappily never heard,
that there has been such an interesting exhibiton -
may be there will be somewhere
a next time :-)
