Thanks to Mini Modern for talking about the drive-by stare in her recent post.
I have similar problems but, since I create my scenes right next to where my laptop is, mine's more like a sit and stare (and stare and then decide to just ignore the whole thing. Often for weeks)
A recent case in point: remember Pink in progress and Pink part two? I last touched the scene just over three weeks ago. Since then I've used all sorts of excuses not to do much more to the scene (Busy at work. Bad lighting. Feeling under the weather. Have been lent Downton Abbey season three. Need to find time to make bedding. Should wait for the daybeds I ordered to arrive. Need to mend the one that broke in transit. Maybe I should paint them black? etc) And now I'm tempted just to pack the whole thing away.
But instead perhaps I should make a list of things that need to be done to finish the scene and just do them. Then I'll have my desk back to start on the next scene...
