As is tradition round here, I was tucked up in bed fast asleep by 10:30 last night (I stayed up to watch a DVD) and the New Year was celebrated with a slap up lunch chez moi today.
The table was set with a crisp white cotton table cloth, my favorite "best" Johnson Brothers crockery, the monogrammed cutlery I gave myself for Christmas and my very ancient much loved damask napkins. We toasted the new year with hibiscus flowers in champagne, ate too much wonderful food then lay around reading magazines (catching a quick 40 winks) until we had the strength to move again. All in all, a perfect start to the year!
Happy New Year. Sounds like a perfect way to usher in the new year. Congrats on getting your new website going. You must be chuffed. That is what y'all say in Oz, yes? :)
ReplyDeleteAnd excellent work on the Maxwell Williams affair. That cherry blossom pattern may be something you might want to keep your eye out for, too. It's very TSS.
No more crockery. Have you SEEN my cupboard? (http://theshoppingsherpa.blogspot.com/2006/02/corners-of-my-home-week-3.html)
ReplyDeleteAny new additions and it'll be falling off the wall...
