This is a project I've been wanting to try for months, and have been stockpiling old doilies from op shops until I had time to play. 
If you look closely there are some casualties. But that's what happens when you experiment.(This is the perfect song to go with this post, by the way.)
These are self-covered buttons covered with black fabric and the lace, right? They are STUNNINNG!.

ReplyDeleteYes, if by "design" you mean randomly grabbing bits from the stash I had collected, finding spots on the doileys and hankies that a circle would work in and backing fabric that wouldn't jam the machine...
