A mini challenge for 2011?

Dear fellow modern miniaturists

I've had an idea. Let's have a challenge. Similar to Tie One On but in miniature (and no, I'm not talking 1/12th aprons)

We all make scenes, right? How about we make a scene to a theme? And load the images to a central point* once a month. And, maybe, at the end of the year we could make a free calendar.

Are you in? If you are, how do you think we should chose the theme? Off the top of my head we could:

* Make a call for themes. List them in a poll and chose the top 12.
* Let the winner of each month's challenge chose the theme for the following month.
* Do like Tropfest and have a signature item that has to be included in the scene each month.

This is still a very newborn idea so very rough around the edges. I've got images stuck in my head of some taxi themed rooms I saw in a blog recently: of course I can't find them now I need to refer to them...

(*Oh dear, I feel another FLICKR group coming on...)

Great idea. Suggestion is to keep it simple so many people can join in. Like make a scene with a clock in it. Make a bathroom scene. Make a romantic scene. I'll stay tuned. Have a great day!

A bit confused here but very interested! Sounds like fun! I like the idea of taking suggestions and picking the top 12. I keep watching to see what you come up with. :D

Here is my wish for a theme/challenge: feng shui.
I'm interested in because of my own flat and I thought it must be cool to show some feng-shui-solutions with mirrors or light or something else in miniature.
of course I'd join in.

What about Design: hard edge, soft edge, green edge, natural, deco, retro, plastic, glass, light, etcetera, etcetera.

I'm liking some of these ideas. I've been thinking of "Blue": blue could be a colour (easy but possibly boring), it could mean depressed, it could be musical, it could be about "blue movies".

"Light" could be used in a similar way. The scene could be a light shop, have lots of light coming into a window or be about something that doesn't weigh much!
