AMEA 2015 Convention haul part 1: the goodie bag (and dinner gift)

What's a convention without goodie bags? It's been a very long time since I've been to a miniatures convention (the last one I'd been to in Australia was in 1997, and more recentlyin New Zealandin 2000) and I'd almost forgotten about them.

But this year's goodie bags were pretty unforgettable: each of them sewn by committee member Jennifer Howlett.
Eighty hand-made fabric goodie bags, arranged on a table.
(We were also given a mug to use over the course of the weekend, a very green approach).
Black and white bag and mug on a sales table at a conference, with a conference badge in the front.
Many clubs and individuals had contributed something (or many somethings) for the bags, and a friend and I opened ours together, taking it in turns to pull something out to admire.
Black and white goodie bag, with its miniature-related contents arranged around it.
Selection of dolls' house miniature pieces from a conference goodie bag, arranged on a table top.
The next gift we received was at the convention dinner, where we were given a popcorn box stuffed with tissue paper: which hid a 3D version of the association logo:
Hand holding a small display box containing the letters 'AMEA', and a tiny cottage and windmill, next to a popcorn box.
A small display box containing the letters 'AMEA', and a tiny cottage and windmill, displayed on some scrunched-up tissue paper.
These were designed by committee member Warren Barnard.
A man behind a small display box containing the letters 'AMEA', and a tiny cottage and windmill, displayed on an upturned popcorn container.
Next up: freebie minis from the trash and treasure table...

Nice! Now, that's what I call a goodie bag!
