But sometimes a week of tuna and rice is totally worth it. Especially as I sort of forgot to go to the Sydney Miniature Show this weekend so saved money there.
(Please don't mention the idea that I could drive up there for the day tomorrow, OK?)

I was going to say you definitely should drive up tomorrow, so I could at least experience it vicariously, but then I realised you'd have to pay for petrol as well as the things you just had to buy - so better not (probably).
I could get really cheeky and put a Paypal donation button up on my blog to pay for me to head up tomorrow. If all the miniaturists who read my blog donated $5-$10 I should have it well covered...
;-)
Look. If you come I'll give you the petrol money, just for the sheer delight of seeing you. Aw shucks! you could say.
And anyway you have to come to hear Diva's story of the excitements that surrounded carting the Seidler House to the show. (yes, I know you could always just talk to her any time)
but if you go to Sydney on Sunday you will miss the Dan Murphies shiraz expo.c
Rumour had it that their may be a couple bottles of the good stuff from Penfolds (who just released the 2004 vintage). ;->
I approve of this kind of expenditure. Good for you. Tuna is very healthy in any case. I have fond memories of listening to Depeche Mode during university days; mostly on weekends with a beer in my hand and attempting flirtation while shouting conversation with college boys.
