Yes, TSS, I did keep some of my parents' things - mum's first bank book for goodness sake, but especially the cabinet dad made for her on their engagement. He used often to tell the story of riding home on his pushbike, with this 5 foot cabinet balanced on a trailer behind. How I wish I had listened more attentively! But not regretting - just relishing the memories I do have.
