Is 8 too many? You could dye half black. Think of the stripy goodness.
No 8's just fine it was more the fact that after a frenzy of wash-cloth knitting last week I thought the obsession had safely passed. But obviously The Universe had different ideas.
I like the idea of dying some black - although isn't black a really difficult colour to dye successfully?
White mercerised looking cotton will be quite difficult to dye black. I do not think you will like the results. Could be wrong, but is it worth the risk?
All I can say is that what you get when you shop in MY op-shop.

Wow, you have a lot of yarn luck at thrift shops. I never find yarn (though I find lots of other good things.) Can't wait to see it knitted up. Or is it "knit" up?
