What's a convention without goodie bags? It's been a very long time since I've been to a miniatures convention (the last one I'd been to in Australia was in 1997, and more recently—in New Zealand—in 2000) and I'd almost forgotten about them.
But this year's goodie bags were pretty unforgettable: each of them sewn by committee member Jennifer Howlett.
(We were also given a mug to use over the course of the weekend, a very green approach).
Many clubs and individuals had contributed something (or many somethings) for the bags, and a friend and I opened ours together, taking it in turns to pull something out to admire.
The next gift we received was at the convention dinner, where we were given a popcorn box stuffed with tissue paper: which hid a 3D version of the association logo:
These were designed by committee member Warren Barnard.
Next up: freebie minis from the trash and treasure table...
