I'm not sure if I mentioned last year that some of my cupcake knitting was going to be exhibited in Sydney while I was overseas in November?Marrickville Council’s bi-annual Arts Night was held at Petersham Town Hall on Thursday 29 November 2007. The event was named Map 255: Marrickville (directions in arts and culture) in reference to the cultural mapping that was carried out during the year as part of the Cultural Planning Research Project. The Project plotted local artists, events, resources, creative industries, and cultural activists on the Marrickville map.I received photos of the event this week, including this shrine to The Shopping Sherpa:

One lonely bunny was finally picked up yesterday from the empty shell that used to contain Knit 1 Blog 1.
Things are a happening in Canberra! The Knit 1 Blog 1 now has a web page as well as a blog.I dropped off my contributions to the exhibition today after a busy few days creating another dozen cupcakes (duh, I forgot to photograph them before I delivered them) and met Barbara who is just lovely.Tomorrow I need to start on some of the I'm a knitaholic range that I'd like to have available for sale during the exhibition. And if that wasn't all, I've also been busy creating a couple of things which are part of a gift not yet received, so also not photographed. And now I hear a glass of wine, a sofa and volume 2 of Phaidon Design Classics calling my name...
It's been freezing cold* and raining the whole day. (*Thanks to Seepi for telling me we hit a high of 4 degrees)
There were bright spots, though:* I got to splash across to the post office in my spotty gumboots this morning.* I got an email from Knit1 Blog1 saying my application to be part of Craft ACT's exhibition next month of work by (oddly enough) knitters who blog "is excellent - 10 outta 10 for that"* Taph invited me to the opening of the Lost Houses of the Molonglo Valley exhibition at CMAG this Friday night.* And tonight's Stitch 'n' Bitch night.Today's menu:Breakfast: Tea. Mushroom, broccoli, semi-dried tomato and parmesan frittataMorning tea: Apple, slice of cheeseLunch: Cream of Lentil soup from the freezer with toastAfternoon tea: Hot chocolate and a ginger muffinDinner: I'll be scarfing down half a Muttar Paneer Indian ready meal with rice from the freezer.
